Compound Probability

There are multiple events and we are trying to find the Intersection of those events.

To find these, we will multiply the two probabilities while taking into consideration if the events are independent or dependent.

Independent Events

Events that do not influence each other.e.g rolling a dice multiple times. There is no relationship between subsequent rolls. The probability of each roll remains the same.

e.g two events A, B, find A AND B.

P(A AND B) = P(A) * P(B)

Dependent Events

Events that influence each other.

The compound probability equation can be used to test dependence.
