Information comes from the 5 senses, enters SM (sensory memory), pay attention to info will be moved to STM, maintenance rehearsal keeps in STM, elaborate rehearsal moves to LTM, any info that is not rehearsed is lost, info can be retrieved from LTM and STM. This is LINEAR, has UNITARY stores and they are DISCRETE.
