Give a definition of the term "learning"

A relatively permanent change in behaviour due to past experience.
How do behaviuorists define "learning"?

Learning is the process of associating a stimulus with a response.
How did pavlov carry out his experiments?

He would use a bell to initiate the food, to see the dogs response.
The dog would associate the bell with food, and start to drool (salivate).
