Statutory Bases - Long Arm Statute: 2 Requirements

Under the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment, a state may exercise personal jurisdiction over an out-of-state defendant, so long as that defendant has such "minimum contacts" with the forum state, that the exercise of jurisdiction will not offend traditional notions of fair play and substantial justice

Minimum Contacts - 2 Requirements

(2) Other Fairness Factors

- Burden on D

- Convenience to P

- Effectiveness of Relief to be Obtained
