What is Autocracy? How many different types are there?

Its the type of government that is a single voice, the people don't have a say in anything. There are four different types

Autocracy #1 Dictatorship

1 person in charge

Autocracy #2 Oligarchy

Group of people in charge

Autocracy #3 Theoracy

Religion based

Autocracy #4 Monarchy

A mix of dictatorship and oligarchy

What is Democracy? how many different types are there?

Voice of the people. THere are 4 different types

Democracy # - Representative

someone who is elected to do the work

Democracy #2- Constitutional Monarchy

Democracy #3- Proportional represetation

is when Percent of the population vote sequels the amount of power you have

How many types of conflict resolution are there and what are they?

Three: Negotiate, Mediator and arbitration



Negotiate means?

Each side tries to workit out, they discuss

Mediator means?

The Mediator doesn't make the decision but helps them work it out. stays in the middle

Arbitration means?

A person who comes and makes the decision for the problem

What are the three types of decision making?

Democtatic=Voting


Autocratic=Dictatorship


Consensus= Everyones happy



Explain the Political economic spectrum, whats on the left? what do they believe and same for middle and right.

Communion is the left side and they believe the government will create equality. On that side are high taxes.




Facism is the right side and they believe in small government that protects the individual rights of people and they will equalise themselves. They believe hard work will make the world a better place.

What are the three LEVELS of government?

1. Federal - Parliament- 2 houses


2. Provencial- parliament-1 house


3. Municipal- Council and mayor

What are the three BRANCHES of government and what do they do? And who do they each check?

1. Executive= Proposes ideas/makes decisions, pm in cabinet. Checks the Judicial




2. Legislative=Democratically elected officials. Checks the executive.




3. Judical= courts-supreme court. Checks the legislative.

2. Because of the holocaust


3. All nations of the world but the big 5 aka the security council (USA, China< Russia, Britan and France.)


4. -Ineffective at direct political (Cant help until both countries fighting are almost done the war and call for help)


-Effective at some aid policies (ie UNICEF)


-But even aid projects get political.


5. -We need non-political aid (ie NGO's Non-govermental Organizaions)


-They are independent, flexible, local world wide and on the ground already.
