Circle

a set of points that are the same distance from one fixed point, called the center point

Radius

a line segment from the center of the circle to any point of the circle

Central Angle

an angle formed by 2 radii the vertex is on the center point

Arc

An arc is a piece of the circle.

Major arcs

Are more than 180 degrees they are written with 3 capital letters .

Minor arcs

Are smaller than 189 degrees they are written with 2 capital letters

Chord

A line segment whose end points are the circle . it may go through the center but it doesn't have to.

Diameter

A chord that goes through the center.

Tangent

a line that intersects the circle in exactly one spot. When a radius connects at the tangent, the angle formed is a right angle.

circumscribed angle

one whose sides are formed by tangents to  a circle 

one whose sides are formed by tangents to a circle

inscribed angle

an angle whose vertex is located on the circle is made by 2 chords
