What grade of fuel is used in chainsaws?
Mid-grade (89 octane) - however EFRS has switched to pre-mixed (such as Aspen or TruFuel)
How do you clean chainsaw air filter?
Wash with soap/water (unless paper filter), Use soft paint brush if needed (don't use tooth brush)
What PPE should be used to operate chainsaw?
Safety glasses, Visor, Boots, Helmet, Gloves, Hearing protection, Bunker pants (or chaps)
How do you start a chainsaw on uneven ground (such as roof)?
1. Ensure good footing 2. Engage chain break and full choke 3. Grip w/ left hand and lock right arm 4. Put handle between legs above knees 5. Grip starter cord and pull sharply 6. When saw burps, switch to 1/2 choke 7. Pull sharply on cord until saw starts
How is starting a Cut-Off circular saw different from starting a chainsaw?
Cut-Off saws are ground start only
