What is cohension?
The attraction of one water molecule to another
What is adhesion?
The attraction of one water molecule to a non-water molecule
What is capillary action?
Water adheres to another substance, and surface tension keeps the water together. Random motion slowly moves the water up/along the surface, dragging some of the rest of the water with it.
Why is ice less dense than water
Ice represents the maximal hydrogen bonding of water, in a lattice formation, which creates gaps in the water, thus making it less dense.
What does pressure do to freezing?
It inhibits it.
How does water's viscosity relate to its temperature?
As temperature increases, viscosity decreases
What does water dissociate into?
A hydronium ion (H3O+) and hydroxide ion (OH-)

Both (called amphoterism)
