The mind–body problem is the difficulty of explaining how mental states, events and processes like beliefs, actions and thinking are related to the physical states, events and processes, given that the human body is a physical S and the mind is non-physical.

Phrenology is a type of pseudo-science that studies the shape and size of the cranium based on the belief of certain mental faculties and character traits.

Technique that is used to do cure chronic pain and tremors in relation to Parkinson disease.

Split brain surgery

The procedure involves splitting the corpus callosum, which the the part that holds the brain's left and right hemispheres. This surgery is done to reduce the severity of epileptic seizures.

Computerised Tomography (CT) or computerised axial tomography (CAT)

Uses x-ray to show the brain as if it were split in half. This type of tomography is capable of showing parts of the brain that could not be seen with a conventional x-ray.

A technique that captures a picture of the brain. Eg. CT, MRI

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

This is a harmless technique that uses magnetic fields to produce an image of the brain.
