Website
A website is a group of related web pages that are linked together and share a common interface and design.
XHTML
XHTML is the acronym for eXtensible HyperText Markup Language, the current standard language used to create web pages.
HTML
HTML is not considered the standard language that you use to view your web pages on the internet
Files Panel
Files Panel can be used to create folders to organize and store the various files for your website, and to add pages to your websites.
Dreamweaver Workspace
Dreamweaver worksapce is the screen that includes all of the menus, panels, buttons, inspectors, and panes that you use to create and maintain websites.
Document Window
The Document Window is the large area in the Dreamweaver program window where you create and edit web pages.

These are images that appear across the top or fown the side of the screen that can incorporate a company's logo, contact information , and links to other pages in the site.

This is also called the navigation bars, are bars that contain multiple links that usually organized in rows or columns
Image Map
This is an image map that has been divided into sections, each of which serves as a link .
Navigation Structure
The menu bars and other internal links are used on your pages.
Rich Media Content
This is a comprehensive term that refers to attractive and engaging images, interactive elements , video, or animations.
Adobe AIR
Used for developing content that can be delivered with a browser or as a desktop application.
Wireframe
This can be referred to as a story board, is an illustration that represents every page in a webistes.
Parent Page
This is called the home page.
Child Pages
The pages linked below are the child pages.
Local Site Folder
Stores all the pages or HTML files for this site.
Root Folder
Also known as the Local Site Folder.
Assets / Images
This is where you store all the files that are not pages, such as images and sound files.
Set Up
This step you should use Dreamweaver Site Setup dialog box to assign your site name and specify the local sire folder.

This is the panel you use to manage your websites files and folders.
Publishing
A website that refers to the process of transferring all the files for the site to a web server.
Web Server

This is a web address that is expressed in letters instead of numbers and usually reflects the name of the business represented by the website.
Remote Server
This is a server that hosts websites and is not directly connected to the computer housing local site.
Remote Site
Once the remote server is published it is then called a remote site.
Path
The location of the open file in relation to other folders in the website.
