Defensive tactics
A system of controlled defensive and offensive body movement used by criminal justice officers to respond to a subject and a question or resistance. These techniques are based on a combination of martial art, Westling, and boxing.

Fitness, strength, agility, balance, and flexibility of vital to the development of these skills. The role of defensive tactics in law enforcement in corrections is to assist the officer in restraint or arresting a subject.

1. to apprehend a subject and male an arrest.


2. to defend one self or others.

1. to defend oneself
2. to retake escaped felons
3. to capture felons fleeing justice

against wrongful death.
