What was good and bad when the Germanic Tribes invaded the Roman empire?
They lost some fo the Greco/Roman culture, but gained some Germanic ideas.
What were some of the new ideas?
A trial by ordeal was made. The blending of the Greco/Roman ideas, the Germanic ideas and the Christianity began a new civilization.
What happened in the years of 400-600?
Times were very hard, the Germanic tribes fought over territory. Many aspects of civilization was lost, trade collapsed, Cities disappeared as people moved to the countryside to survive. Literacy delcined, Latin disappeared and Romance languages developed.
