Why do we use species diversity index? |
Allows a comparison between different habitats more accurately. |

Reduces species diversity because all space is taken up by a single crop so there is less variety of habitat. |

Explain the effects of deforestation on species diversity. |
Forests forms layers of many different habitats so when removed there's a big loss in the number of habitats and a number of food sources. |
