The following words are in the Quran; "No believing men and women have any choice in a matter after God and His apostle have decided it." What does this line tell us about the relationship between God and the humans in Islam? What kind of god is allah?
This quote shows that all of the people in Islam showed a lot of respect toward Allah. They trusted him to make the right choices for them and also that they had no choice after he made his choice. Allah is the kind of God that is all powerful and all knowing.
The Spanish rabbi Benjamin of Tudela wrote that the caliph of Baghdad "is the head of Muslim religions" and that " he occupies a similar position to that held by the pope over the Christians" Was Benjamin correct in this observation? What was the hierarchy of power in the islamic world? Is it different today?
The Caliph of Baghdad my have had control over all of the areas close to him but not over all muslims in the world. The muslim religion is set up so that there is no boss like the pope only allah and his prophet muhammad. The real hierarchy of power is there is religious peoples called imam's. Other than this there was not a large religious hierarchy is Islam. Now there are people that think that they are in control but that is not what allah wants.

The real Islamic thought is that the people of the book(Jews and Christians) should be respected. They are not in these days. Some Jihadist muslims think its ok to make people convert. This is not the way it should be done.

These cultures gave the Islamic people a lot of there scientific ideas. They also helped with the development of all of the maths that they came up with. Also they got paper from the Chinese which helped them mass produce the Quran.
Compare Islam to Judaism and Christianity. What are the biggest differences between these religions? What factors to they have in common?
One of the biggest difference is the lack of organized religious services. The muslims pray 5 times a day while Jews go to temple and Christians go to Church. The biggest thing they have in common is they both have similar stories and prophets. They share a lot of the same ideas and also a lot of the same people.

Muhammad was the main prophet in the Islamic religion. This is why he was called the seal of prophets. Other important prophets where abraham,moses and Jesus.

These religions do not have that much in common. They all beleive in more than one god and muslims believe in just one god. This is the main differance

He was super important to the religion. He started Islam. He thought that everyone should be good to one another and keep it real. His life of being a merchant and marrying an older women changed him a lot.

The women where very sheltered. They cant expose their bodies and cant even wear shorts. But if they where a widow they where expected to take over a mans jobs. They also had to help the man with his work. They did not relax all day. They also had to do house work. The position of women in islam has not changed much in a while.

The muslims took over all of the differant areas from the eastern part of china to spain. In spain the muslims had a big influence they built a lot or large mosques. They big things is that under islam there was a really good ability to share ideas through all of these small countrys that are now one nation. That is how islam was a big unifying force.

The difference between the Sunni's and Shia sects are that the Sunni think that any one could rule the Muslims and the Shias think that only the direct discendents of Muhammad should. This has played a huge part in there history because now and for a long time they have been fighting agianst each other. They fights get pretty bloody.

5 pillars=testimony of faith, prayer, almsgiving, fasting during ramadan and pillgramage to Mecca. These are all of the basic things to be if you want to be a muslim. The Quran is all of the religious writings of Muhammad as well as songs laws etc. It is a lot like the bible. Muslims are also expected to respect people of the book.

The muslim empire brought together i new trading area all around asia. They got imports from China and also Egypt and other mediterianinas. Muhammad being a merchant himself loved merchants.
