Psychology comes from 2 Greek words: Psyche (soul) & Logos (study of subject). 1st combined in 16th century defining a topic of study referring to the soul, spirit, or mind, as distinguished from the body.

|
Early 18th century b/m the "study of the mind." Psychology intellectual parents, philosophy & physiology, put psychology together when ppl from both fields started to wonder about the mysteries of the mind.
