2. Variable Interval- amount of time changes before reinforced
3. Fixed ratio- Set # of responses before reinforced
4. Variable ratio- (Most difficult to extinguish) Gambling
What is shaping?
Reinforcing smaller steps to teach complex behaviors.
What is the Law of Effect?
Responses are stamped in or strengthened when they are rewarded and stamped out when they are punished.
What is high-order conditioning?
A procedure in CC where a NS becomes a CS through association with an already established CS.

1. Set goals that are achievable and specific.
2. Track your progress on a graph or in a diary
3. Avoid punishing yourself with self-defeating thoughts
