laterally flex the head while depressing the shoulder which streches the brachial plexes or local soft tissue.
Adson's test
hold radial pulse, ask pt to look straight ahead, then to same side, then op. side
decrease in amplitude of pulse due to neurovascular bundle compression or scalenes muscle spasm.
Roos's (east) test
ask pt to raise arms, open and close hands for three minutes; checks for thoracic outlet syndrome

Bakody's (monkey's) sign
relieves pain; pt puts hand on head, palm upwards
Soto Hall test
press on supine's pt's manubrium and lift pt's head towards ceiling.
Wright's Test
hyperabduct and extend the pt's arm, ask pt to look at arm, then look away from arm, while holding the radial pulse.
Vertebral Artery Test
pt. lies on back with head extended off the table. rotates pt's head. This will compress the vertebral artery on the opposited side of the head and patency on the same side of the head. It is positive it pt. experience vertigo, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, faintness, nystagmus.
