ROM Test:
•ROM 3: Cervical Flexion
•ROM 9: Capital Sidebend

Muscle Test:
•Supine, flex neck on trunk 45º, rotate 45º away, slightly extend head on neck (chin up/forward).

Tester:
•TREAT: The side that you push on.
•Body: Stand above their head.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
•Action Hand: Brace palm of hand over TMJ and temporal bone.
Applied Force
•Extend neck on trunk in sagittal plane (push down).

Palpation/Function:
•CAN treat as a whole.

Clavicle/Manubrium:
•Supine, place opposite hand under head to stabilize.
•Palpate along medial aspect of clavicle onto manubrium.
•Have them lift head up, come across clavicle, and follow the muscle medial to the head of the manubrium.

Nuchal Line (Lateral/Superior):
•Palpate under mastoid process to lateral superior nuchal line.
•Fill in underneath the mastoid and follow up to nuchal lateral aspect of nuchal lines.
•Have them lift head, feel attachment going into the mastoid process. Follow up and around to the superior nuchal line. Follow mastoid around to the most lateral/anterior edge of the superior nuchal line.
Sternocleidomastoid:
Sternal Fibers
ROM Test:
•ROM 8: Capital Extension
•ROM 9: Capital Sidebend

Muscle Test:
•Supine, flex neck 45º, rotate 45º away, slightly extend head on neck (chin up/forward).

Tester:
•TREAT: The side that you push on.
•Body: Stand above their head. (distal to body)
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
•Action Hand: Brace around involved ear.
Applied Force
•Extend neck on trunk obliquely toward opposite ear. Push at 45º angle.

Palpation/Function:
•CAN treat as a whole.

Clavicle (Superior/Medial 1/3):
•Supine, place opposite hand under head to stabilize.
•Palpate along superior medial 1/3 of clavicle. Slight gap between the two heads of the Sternocleidomastoid between clavicle and manubrium.

Mastoid Process:
•Palpate under the mastoid process.

• ROM 3: Cervical Flexion

Muscle Test:
• Supine. Flex cervical spine 45º, rotate 20º away, slightly extend head on neck (chin up).

Tester:
• TREAT: The opposite side that they rotate.
• Body: Stand above head (distal to body).
• Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite posterior skull.
• Action Hand: Brace hand on frontal bone.

Applied Force:
• Extend neck on trunk in sagittal plane.

Palpation/Function:
• Opposite side rotator.

Anterior Tubercles C3-C6:
• Supine. Place opposite hand under head to stabilize.
• Find TP’s of C1, drop down to posterior tubercles of C2, find posterior tubercles of C3, then slide up and in & palpate on the anterior tubercles of C3-C6.
• Palpate laterally behind SCM and curl fingers around palpating anterior surface of C3-C6 TP’s (anterior tubercles).

1st Rib Costocartilage:
• Have client inhale for elevation of 1st rib, palpate next to costocartilage.
• Come in behind the clavicle and palpate down onto 1st rib.
• Posterior/Lateral and deep to clavicular SCM, have them flex neck, feel SCM, go lateral & underneath clavicle to palpate 1st rib.
Anterior Scalenes
ROM Test:
•None

Muscle Test:
•Supine. Flex cervical spine 45º, rotate 20º away, slightly extend head on neck (chin up).

Tester:
•TREAT: The opposite side that they rotate.
•Body: Stand above head (distal to body).
•Stabilizing Hand: Posterior, lateral aspect of skull.
•Action Hand: Brace hand on frontal bone.
Applied Force:
•Extend and laterally flex neck on trunk obliquely.

Palpation/Function:
•Opposite side rotator.

C2 – C7 Posterior Tubercles:
•Supine, place opposite hand under head to stabilize.
•Palpate lateral aspect of C2 – C7 posterior tubercles of TP’s at 45º angle.

1st Rib:
•Have client inhale for elevation of 1st rib move lateral from anterior scalenes.
•Come in behind the clavicle and palpate down onto the 1st rib.
•Go more lateral on rib than anterior fibers.
Middle Scalenes
ROM Test:
•ROM 2: Cervical Sidebend

Muscle Test:
Supine. Flex cervical spine 45º, rotate 20º away, slightly sidebend neck on trunk. Slightly extend head on neck (chin up).

•TREAT: The opposite side that they rotate.
•Body: Stand above head (distal to body).
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand on opposite shoulder.
•Action Hand: Brace hand on frontal bone.
Applied Force:
•Laterally flex neck on trunk.

Palpation/Function:
•Opposite side rotator.

C4 – C6 Posterior Tubercles (Lateral):
•Supine. Place opposite hand under head to stabilize.
•Palpate posterior lateral aspect of C4-C6 posterior tubercles of TP’s.

2nd Rib:
•Come to the lateral aspect of rectus. Come upwards and push inwards into the muscle belly.
•Have them shrug shoulders, then relax it to open up the “trap triangle” posterior to the clavicle. Then follow in right onto the 2nd rib. Deep, anterior to the trap, posterior to the clavicle. More lateral and posterior than middle fibers.
•Go more lateral on rib than the middle fibers.
Posterior Scalenes
ROM Test:
•ROM 7: Cervical Flexion with Capital Flexion

Muscle Test:
•Supine. Flex cervical spine 45º, rotate 20 to opposite side, flex head on neck (chin down).

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side of rotation. (even though it’s a same side rotator)
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand on opposite side of head.
•Action Hand: Brace hand on frontal bone.
Applied Force:
•Extend head on neck through sagittal plane in cocking motion. Not pushing into cervical extension, pulling back into capital extension.

Palpation/Function:
•Same side rotator.

Occiput (basilar part):
•Supine, place one hand on anterior neck to create slack.
•Find trachea, go lateral to trachea, move side to side, but medial to jugular. Sink down and back/posterior until you hit the anterior bodies. Once you hit the bodies, slide up and into the basilar part of the occiput.
•Palpate up and in to basilar part of occiput.

C3 – C6 Anterior Tubercles:
•Palpate from lateral side curling fingers to palpate anterior surface of C3-C6.
•Find TP’s of C1, move down to C2, then palpate on C3 – C6 on anterior tubercles.
Longus Capitis:
ROM Test:
•ROM 5: Cervical Flexion with Rotation

Muscle Test:
•Supine, full rotation of head to opposite side. 45º of cervical flexion, slightly extend head on neck (chin up).

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side of rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand on opposite side.
•Action Hand: Brace hand on frontal bone.

Applied Force:
•Extend neck on trunk through sagittal plane.

Palpation/Function:

Atlas (anterior arch):
•Supine. Place hand on posterior head to stabilize neck.
•Similar to longus capitis, slide trachea out of the way, come down, sink in and the come up into anterior arch of atlas. Not quite as deep.
•Palpate into anterior neck feel for coratid artery, move medially, palpating anterior arch of atlas.

C3 – C5 Anterior Tubercles:
•Palpate anterior tubercles of C3-C5.
•Find mastoid process, find TP of C1, move down to posterior tubercle of C3, then curl around and palpate the anterior tubercle of C3 – C5.
Longus Colli:
Superior-Oblique Fibers
ROM Test:
•None

Muscle Test:
•Supine, full rotation of head to opposite side. 25º of cervical flexion, slightly extend head on neck (chin up).

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side of rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand on opposite side.
•Action Hand: Brace hand on frontal bone.
Applied Force:
•Extend neck on trunk through sagittal plane.

Palpation/Function:

Anterior neck (same palpation):
•Supine. Place hand on posterior head to stabilize neck, slightly flex neck for slack.
•Palpate into anterior neck with 2 fingers.
•Go down past manubrium staying under and angling down and behind.

C2 – T3 Anterior Bodies:

•Feel for corotid artery, move medially, palpating anterior bodies of C2-T3, down to cough reflex.
•Staying along trachea, staying medial to corotid artery, you should feel a pulse, which should be lateral to your finger. Sink down onto the anterior bodies, and work your way down. As you go down, gradually work laterally.
•As you get to the “V” of the neck/top of manubrium, you will be at about T1, angle under the manubrium but stay on the spine for T2 & T3, which will be deep.
•Go to trachea, move it, gently move fingers back and forth sinking down and into the anterior bodies.
Longus Colli:
Vertical Fibers
ROM Test:
•ROM 1: Cervical Rotation
•ROM 6: Cervical Rotation and Lateral Flexion

Muscle Test:
•Supine, full rotation of head to opposite side. 5º of cervical flexion, slightly extend head on neck (chin up).

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side of rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand on opposite side.
•Action Hand: Brace hand on frontal bone.
Applied Force:
•Extend neck on trunk through sagittal plane.

Palpation/Function:

Anterior Neck:
•Supine. Place hand on posterior head to stabilize neck.
•Palpate into anterior neck, feel for corotid artery, move medially, palpating anterior bodies of upper thoracic vertebrae, feel for cough reflex.
•Slide SCM out of the way, and then go down and in.

C5 – C6 Anterior Tubercles:
•Palpate from side, the anterior tubercles of C5 – C6.
Longus Colli:
Inferior Oblique Fibers
ROM Test:
•ROM 8: Capital Extension
•ROM 11: Prone Capital Extension and Rotation

Muscle Test:
•Prone, extend cervical spine 20º. Extend head on neck (chin up). Rotate 20º to opposite side.

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side of rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand under chin.
•Action hand: Brace hand behind ear on skull.
Applied Force:
•Flex head on neck in plane of head (un-cock the head forward).

Palpation/Function:
•Opposite side rotator.

Occiput (Nuchal Lines between inferior/superior):
•Palpate into base of skull between inferior and superior nuchal lines.

C4 – C7 Articular Processes (Lateral/Posterior):
•Prone. Palpate lateral/posterior articular processes of C4 – C7. Medial aspect of TP’s.

T1 – T6 TP’s (Medial Aspects):
• Move laterally through the belly of the trap to transverse process of C7 for landmark and palpate T1 – T6 on medial aspects of TP’s.
•Medial aspect of the TP’s.
Semispinalis Capitis:
ROM Test:
•ROM 10: Prone Cervical Extension and Rotation

Muscle Test:
•Prone, extend cervical spine 20º. Slightly flex head on neck (chin down). Rotate 20º to opposite side.

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side.
•Body: Stand on side of body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace under chin.
•Action Hand: Brace hand behind ear on skull.

Applied Force:
•Flex neck on trunk through the plane of the head (push down).

Palpation/Function:
•Opposite side rotator.

C4 – C7 Articular Processes:
•Prone. Palpate articular processes of C4-C7. Medial aspects.

T1 – T6 TP’s:
•Move laterally through the belly of the trap to TP’s of C7 as landmark and palpate down T1 – T6. Medial aspects.

C2 – C5 SP’s:
•Supine. Palpate the middle half of the superior Ilium.
•Landmark PSIS & ASIS, go right in between to be on middle ½ of ilium.
Semispinalis Cervicis:
ROM Test:
•ROM 11: Prone Capital Extension and Rotation

Muscle Test:
•Prone. Extend cervical spine 45º. Extend head on neck (chin up). Rotate 45º to same side.

Tester:
•TREAT: Same side rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand under chin.
•Action Hand: Brace hand behind ear on skull.
Applied Force:
•Flex head on neck in sagittal place through cocking motion.
Palpation:
•Same side rotator.

C3 – T3 SP’s:
•Prone. Palpate SP’s of C3 – T3.

Nuchal Line (Superior/Medial):
•Palpate lateral superior nuchal line and across to mastoid process.
•Follow mastoid up to the superior nuchal line, just medial to the mastoid process.
Splenius Capitis:
ROM Test:
•ROM 4: Cervical Rotation and Extension
•ROM 10: Prone Cervical Extension and Rotation

Muscle Test:
•Prone. Extend cervical spine 45º. Slightly flex head on neck (chin down). Rotate 45º to same side.

Tester:
•TREAT: Same side rotation.
•Body: Stand on side of body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace opposite shoulder.
Applied Force:
•Flex neck on trunk in sagittal plane.

Palpation/Function:
•Same side rotator.

T3 – T6 SP’s:
• Prone palpate SP’s of T3 – T6.

C1 – C3 Posterior Tubercles:
•Move up to posterior tubercles of TP’s of C1 – C3.
•Find mastoid, then go to posterior/lateral aspects of C1, then go to PT’s of C2 & C3.
Splenius Cervicis:
ROM Test:
•ROM 11: Prone Capital Extension and Rotation

Muscle Test:
•Prone. Full rotation to involved side. Fully extend head on neck and neck on trunk.

Tester:
•TREAT: Same side rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand under chin.
Applied Force:
•Flex head on neck through sagittal plane (uncocking).

Palpation/Function:
•Best rotator.
•Same side rotator.

C4 – C7 Articular Processes:
•Prone. Palpate articular processes of C4 – C7. You can palpate by sinking w/the thumb and “hooking in.”
•Find C1 Posterior tubercles, work way down to find C4. Come around posterior tubercles more posteriorly to the articular processes of C4 – C7.

T1 – T5 TP’s:
•Move down from C4 – C7 articular processes to the TP’s of T1 – T5.

Mastoid Process (Posterior Aspect):
•Palpate widest on mastoid process. Follow upward.
•Work in to posterior margin of the mastoid process
Longissimus Capitis:
ROM Test:
•ROM 4: Cervical Flexion and Extension
•ROM 10: Prone Cervical Extension and Rotation

Muscle Test:
•Prone. Full rotation to involved side. Fully extend neck on trunk. Slightly flex head on neck (chin down).

Tester:
•TREAT: Same side rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand on shoulder.
•Action Hand: Brace hand behind ear on skull.
Applied Force:
•Flex neck on trunk through the sagittal plane (pushing down).

Palpation/Function:
•Same side rotator.

C2 – C6 Posterior Tubercles:
•Prone. Palpate posterior tubercles of C2 – C6.
•Start at C1, then find posterior tubercle of C2, and palpate.

T1 – T5 TP’s:
•Move from the Posterior Tubercles of C2 – C6 down to the TP’s of T1 – T5.
Longissimus Cervicis:
ROM Test:
•ROM 5: Cervical Flexion with Rotation
•ROM 9: Capital Sidebend

Muscle Test:
•Full rotation of head to opposite side. Full cervical flexion. Capital Extension (chin up). Cock ear towards chest.

Tester:
•TREAT: Treat opposite side of rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
•Action Hand: Brace around involved ear.
Applied Force:
•Extend head obliquely toward opposite ear while bracing neck (similar to SCM test). Un-cock head in plane of ears.

Palpation/Function:
•Opposite side rotator.

Atlas TP (Posterior/Superior):
•Supine, palpate posterior/superior TP of Atlas.
•Find TP of C1, palpate posterior/superior aspect.

Occiput (Base):
•Move directly upwards into base of occiput.
•Deep into skull, just inferior to inferior nuchal line of skull. Curl deep into skull.
•Hook right into the base of the skull, deep up and in, right below the inferior nuchal line, directly straight back.
Obliques Capitis: Superior
ROM Test:
•ROM 5: Cervical Flexion with Rotation

Muscle Test:
•Full rotation of head to ipsilateral side. Full flexion of head on neck and neck on trunk (chin down).

Tester:
•TREAT: Tread SAME side rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
•Action Hand: Brace around involved ear.
Applied Force:
•Rotate head to contralateral side.

Palpation/Function:

Atlas TP (Posterior/Inferior):
•Supine, palpate posterior/inferior TP of Atlas.
•Find mastoid, drop to C1, palpate posterior/inferior aspect of C1 TP.

Axis SP:
•Move down and in to palpate the SP of the axis.
•Come right back down, and palpate the superior/lateral aspect of C2 SP.
Obliques Capitis: Inferior
ROM Test:
•None

Muscle Test:
•Rotate head 45º to ipsilateral side. Full flexion of neck on trunk and full extension of head on neck (chin up).

Tester:
•TREAT: Same side rotation.
•Body: Distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
•Action Hand: Brace around involved ear.
Applied Force:
•Rotate head to contralateral side.

Palpation/Function:
•Same side rotator.
•Runs medial to lateral.

Axis SP (Posterior/Superior):
•Supine, palpate posterior/superior SP of axis. SP of C2, superior aspect (more so than obliques capitis inferior).
•More superior than Obliques Capitis Inferior.

Occiput (Base):
•Move upwards and laterally past the atlas, into base of occiput.
•Deep to obliques capitis superior.
Rectus Capitis: Posterior Major
ROM Test:
•ROM 8: Capital Extension

Muscle Test:
•Full flexion of neck on trunk. Extension of head on neck (chin up). Slight rotation.

Tester:
•TREAT: Same side as rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite forehead.
•Action Hand: Brace posterior lateral skull on involved side.
Applied Force:
•Flex head on neck in sagittal plane. Push up in sagittal plane (un-cock).

Palpation/Function:
•Same side rotator.

Atlas (Posterior Aspect):
•Supine, palpate posterior aspect of atlas.
•Posterior aspect sinking in between occiput base & C2 that will be the posterior aspect of C1 if it had an SP.
•Find SP of C2, find base of the skull, and sink directly in between those into that open space.

Occiput Base:
•Move upwards and slightly lateral into base of the occiput. Upwards/lateral of rectus capitis posterior major (just lateral of midline).
Rectus Capitis: Posterior Minor
ROM Test:
•ROM 5: Cervical Flexion with Rotation
•ROM 7: Cervical Flexion with Capital Flexion
•ROM 9: Capital Sidebend

Muscle Test:
•Rotate head 45º to contralateral side. Full flexion of head on neck and neck on trunk (chin down).

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side of rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body. .
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
Applied Force:
•Extend hand on neck through sagittal plane through cocking motion.

Palpation/Function:
•Same side rotator (treat opposite side of rotation still).
•Performs capital flexion.

Atlas TP (anterior/superior):
•Supine. Palpate anterior/superior aspect of TP of Atlas. Anterior aspect of C1.
•Curl finger around anterior/superior aspect of C1. Wrap around to the front.

Mandible:
•Come in under mandible and apply pressure up and in. Find trachea, move it over, sink down to anterior body, keep pressure and curl up and feel “tautness”.
•Find trachea, slide down and in, come up and in into the basilar part of the occiput.
Rectus Capitis: Anterior
ROM Test:
•ROM 9: Capital Sidebend

Muscle Test:
•Lateral flexion of head on neck.

Tester:
•TREAT:
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
•Action Hand: Brace around involved ear.
Applied Force:
•Laterally flex head on neck through coronal plane.

Palpation/Function:
•Produces lateral flexion at the O/A joint.

Atlas TP (Superior/Lateral):
•Supine, palpate superior/lateral aspect of TP of the atlas.
•Find TP of C1, try to hook up onto the top of it.

Occiput:
•Move upwards into lateral aspect of the occiput. Same as anterior, but once you get down into the bodies, move up keeping pressure and then slightly lateral.
•Try to get up under mastoid process, similar to Rectus Capitis Anterior & Longus Capitis, more lateral this time though towards jugular process. Don’t go lateral until you are in, down to the bodies, the slide up and slightly lateral.
Rectus Capitis: Lateralis
ROM Test:
•ROM 1: Cervical Rotation
•ROM 6: Cervical Rotation and Lateral Flexion

Muscle Test:
•Full rotation of neck to opposite side. Extension of neck to same side.

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side of rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
•Action Hand: Brace around involved ear.
Applied Force:
•Laterally flex neck through coronal plane. Trying to sidebend forward in the plane of the table.

Palpation/Function:
•Opposite side rotator.

C4 – C6 Articular Processes:
•Prone, palpate articular processes of C4 – C6.

C7 – T1 TP’s (Downwards/Lateral):
•Move downwards and lateral into TP’s of C7 – T1.

C2 – C6 SP’s:
•Palpate SP’s of C2 – C6.

•ROM 7: Cervical Flexion with Capital Flexion

Muscle Test:
•Full flexion of head on neck and neck on trunk. Slight rotation to opposite side. Teeth clenched with tongue to roof of mouth.

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side of rotation.
•Body: Stand distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
•Action Hand: Brace around involved ear.
Applied Force:
•Extend head on neck through sagittal plane through cocking motion.

Palpation/Function:

Chin (Ridge):
•Supine, palpate back under ridge of chin ½ way back.
•Posterior aspect of jaw. Come up under chin & work halfway back.
•Halfway back on the jaw, 2 fingerwidths on the anterior/superior aspect of the bottom of the jaw line of the mandible.

Hyoid Bone (Superior):
•Palpate 2 finger widths on superior aspect of the hyoid bone.
•Have them press tongue to roof of mouth, go into trachea, you can feel the muscle attach on the anterior/superior aspect of hyoid.
•Come to side, come in on the trachea, Stabilize hyoid w/opposite finger, curl right on the anterior/superior aspect of the hyoid bone w/thumb. It’s a floating bone, above Adams apple.
Mylohyoid:
ROM Test:
•ROM 3: Cervical Flexion

Muscle Test:
•Full flexion of neck on trunk. Capital extension. Slight rotation to opposite side. Teeth clenched with tongue to roof of mouth.

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side of rotation (think of bringing fiber over the axis).
•Body: Distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
•Action Hand: Brace around involved ear.
Applied Force:
•Extend neck on trunk through sagittal plane of body.

Palpation/Function:

Manubrium:
•Supine, flex neck to feel strap-like muscle go behind manubrium.
•Posterior to the SC join. Posterior manubrium, hook thumb.
•Come down, find SCM, go to the back of the manubrium, right up underneath, try to hook thumb right around posterior aspect of the manubrium, hooking around posterior right behind the attachment site of the SCM on the backside of the manubrium.

Hyoid Bone (Inferior Aspect):
•Palpate 2 fingerwidths on the inferior aspect of the hyoid bone.
•Find hyoid bone, go onto the inferior aspect (just like Mylohyoid, but the inferior aspect instead of superior). 2 fingerwidths from midline.
Sternohyoid:
ROM Test:
•ROM 2: Cervical Sidebend

Muscle Test:
•Full flexion of neck on trunk. Capital extension. 20º of rotation to opposite side. Shrug involved shoulder. Teeth clenched with tongue to roof of mouth.
•Shrug shoulder that’s opposite side of rotation (the side you are treating).

Tester:
•TREAT: Opposite side of rotation.
•Body: Distal to body.
•Stabilizing Hand: Brace hand around opposite ear.
•Action Hand: Brace around involved ear.
Applied Force:
•Laterally flex neck on trunk through oblique plane.

Palpation/Function:

Hyoid Bone (Inferior/Lateral):
•Supine, palpate inferior/lateral on the hyoid. Similar to Sternohyoid but just lateral.
•Come in on the lateral/inferior aspect of the hyoid.

Scapula (Anterior/Superior):
•Have client shrug shoulder and palpate anterior/superior on the scapula.
•Go posterior to the notch of the scapula, go into the “triangle of trapezius”, then down & back/posterior.
•Come into the same area as you did for Posterior Scalenes, except instead of coming in/down onto the rib, you need to go posterior towards the notch of the scapula (have the shrug and relax to loosen tissue before you palpate).
•As you come down into the “trap triangle” go down and back (inferior & posterior).
Omohyoid:
- Splenius Cervicis

- Semispinalis Cervicis

- Longissimus Cervicis

- Iliocostalis Cervicis

- Levator Scapula
Cervical Extensors: Run up and forward from thoracic to cervical TP's:
- Trapezius

- Sternocleidomastoid
Cervical Extensors: Bridge cervical column with no attachment to the vertebrae.
- Semispinalis Capitis

- Splenius Capitis

- Longissimus Capitis
Capital Extensors: Run up and backwards from thoracic to occiput.
Suboccipital Muscles:
- Obliques Capitis Superior/Inferior

- Rectus Capitis Posterior Major/Minor

- Rectus Capitis Anterior/Lateralis

- Multifidus Cervicis
