I sound the horn and set the parking break!
What is the straight line backing test?
I back up 100 feet in a straight line between two rows of cones without touching nor crossing over them.
What is the Offset backing right test?
I will pull forward from a lane and stop at a barrier of cones. I then back up so my vehicle is positioned in the lane to the right of the lane I pulled from. I must keep backing until my vehicle has cleared the forward set of cones.
What is the Offset backing left test?
I will pull forward from my lane and stop at a barrier of cones. I then back up so my vehicle is positioned in the lane to the left of the one I pulled from. I must keep backing until my vehicle has cleared the forward set of cones.
What is the Alley dock test?
I will be backing my vehicle from the sight side (Driver Side) into an alley. The goal is to bring the trailer within three feet of the rear of the alley without going beyond the boundary. I must be within the boundaries and three feet from the rear boundary.
What is the Parallel Park (sight side) test?
I will be parallel parking in a space on my left side. Drive past the space and back the entire vehicle into it.
What is the Parallel Park (conventional) test?
I will be parallel parking on the right side. Drive past the space and back my entire vehicle into the space given. The vehicle must be within the entire boundaries given.
What are the questions I want to ask the examiner?
At any time can I get out of the vehicle to check? Can I poke my head out the window or not? Is there anything you recommend for me to do to pass this portion of the test?
