Low Pressure Warning Test
Shut off the engine after pressure has built
Turn on Electrical Power (not engine)
Repeatedly depress the brakes to bleed off air
Low Pressure warning must activate before 60 psi
Check Automatic Spring Brakes
Chock Wheels
Release Parking Brake (After Air Pressure Builds)
Repeatedly depress brake pedal to bleed off air
Parking Brake Knob should pop out around 20-40 psi
Rate of Air Pressure Buildup
Should build from 85 to 100 psi within 45 seconds
Leakage Rate
With fully charges system, turn off engine
Release the Service Pressure nad time the air pressure drob
Loss should be less than two psi in one minute, or 3 psi in one minute in combination
Apply 90psi or more with pedal
After initial drop, if more than 3 psi in one minute, or 4 psi in combination, air loss is too much
Governor cut-in, cut-out
Pump brakes, air compressor should come on at 100psi, go off around 125
Test Parking Brake
Stop vehicle, put parking brake on, gently pull against it in low gear
Test Service Brakes
Wait for normal air pressure
Release Parking Brake
Move Forward
Apply the brakes firmly using pedal
