Things improved for Germans and they started to turn away from extermist ideas however The weimar republic was still very unstable and Hitler convinced Hinedinburg to let him be chancellor as the nazis were the biggest party in the Reichstag. Hitler easily gained support from the people of Germany through speeches and propaganda. He intimated people and used this to gain support and rally againest the people who were potentional threats such as the commnists. The president and Vice chancellor beleived tthey could control Hitler however as soon as he could Hitler used his postion to gain more power and this was a very important long term cause in the fall of Weimar Republic.
