Aorta
Right above the heart.
Precava
The Superior Vena Cava. Vein that brings deoxygenated blood into the right atrium from areas of the body above the heart.
Postcava
The Inferior Vena Cava. Vein that brings deoxygenated blood from the lower portion of the body into the right atrium.
Bracheocehpalic Artery
The first vein to branch off of the top of the aortic arch. Later splits into the common coratid arteries and the right subclavian artery.
Left Subclavian Artery
The second branch off of the aortic arch. Leads into the brachial artery.
Right Subclavian Artery
Is the third branch of the bracheospephalic artery and leads into the arm of the cat.
Celiac Trunk
Under the diaphram it is the first branch off of the descending abdominal aorta in the front.
Superior Mesenteric Artery
under the diaphram is the second branch off of the descending thoracic artery in the front, underneath the celiac trunk.
Inferior Mesynteric Artery
Under the diaphram is the third branch off of the descending thoracic aorta in the front. Is directly under the superior mesenteric artery.
Adrenolumnar Arteries
Are located to the left and right of the superior mesenteric artery and bring blood to the adrenal glands that sit on top of the kidneys.
Renal Arteries
Arteries which branch off of the descending thoracic aorta and bring blood to the kidneys. O the left and right they are between the superior and inferior mesenteric arteries (along the decending aorta).
Gonadal Artery
Sits beneath the inferior mesenteric artery on the annatomical left of the cat and brings blood to either the testes or the ovaries. Accross from the illiolumbar artery which is on the right.
Illiolumbar Artery
Sits beneath the inferior mesenteric artery along the descending aorta on the anatomical right of the cat. Accross from the gonadal artery which sits on the annatomical left.
External Iliac Arteries
Left and right branches of the descending aorta at the apex of the legs. Further down leads into the femoral artery.
Internal Iliac Arteries
Left and right banches off of the middle branch of the descending aorta where it branches at the apex of the legs. The actual middle branch is the mediac sacral artery which goes into the tail.
Femoral Arteries
Lead into the thighs following the external iliac arteries.
Bracheocheplaic Vein
Large veins that join together and bring blood from the arms into the superior vena cava and then into the right atrium.
External Jugular Veins
The larger of the jugular veins. Located in the neck anteriorly to the internal jugular veins and bring deoxygenated blood from the neck into the left and right bracheochepalic arteries.
Subvlaivan Vein
Located right after the annatomical left bracheocephalic vein and brings blood from the arm towards the heart.
Hepatic Veins
On the left and right of the inferior vena cava underneath the phreniv veins under the diapram.
Adrenolumbar Veins
Bring blood from the adrenal glands to the inferior vena cava.
Renal Veins
Bring blood from the kidneys to the inferior vena cava.
Gonadal Veins
Veins that bring blood to the testes or ovaries. One is the sevvond one underneath the anatomical right renal vein and the other slits off of the anatomical left renal vein.
Iliolumbar Veins
Last veins off of the inferior vena fava before it splits into the common illiac veins which lead into the legs.
Common Iliac Veins
Veins that join to together at the apex of the legs to form the inferior vena cava. The third and middle branch is the middle sacral branch and leads into the tail.
External Iliac Veins
Veins which brings blood from the lef to the common iliac veins.
Internal Iliac Veins
First branch off of the common iliac veins. Empty between the common and external iliac veins.
External carotid artery
Supplies the extracranial tissues of the neck and head. Located in front of the neck.
Internal carotid artery
Serves the brain and gives rise to the ophthalmic artery. Located behind the external carotid artery.
Common carotid arteries
Right and left common carotid arteries.
Left vertebral arteries
Goes through the vertebrae, runs up the posterior neck to supply the cerebellum, part of the brain stem, and the posterior cerebral hemispheres.
Right vertebral arteries

Subscapular artery
Supplies scapula and dorsal thorax.
Axillary artery
runs through axilla, gives off several branches to the chest wall and shoulder girdle. Becomes the brachial artery.
Costocervical trunk
Supplies deep neck muscles and some of the upper intercostal muscles.
Internal mammary artery

Aortic arch of the aorta
arches posteriorly and to the left and then courses downward as the descending aorta through the thoracic cavity. It penetrates the diaphragm to enter the abdominal cavity just anterior to the vertebral.
Thyrocervical trunk
Mainly serves the thyroid gland and some scapular muscles. Branches off the subclavian artery.
Radial artery
Follows the radial bone through the arm to supply the forearm and hand.
Ulnar artery
Follows the ulna bone and supplies the forearm and hand.
Brachial artery
Enters the arm and gives off a major branch, the deep artery of the arm. Located by the biceps.
Descending thoracic aorta
Descends through the thoracic cavity and becomes the abdominal aorta.

Lies to the medial side of the common femoral artery and terminates at the superior border of the inguinal ligament in the external iliac vein.

Popliteal vein
The popliteal vein is formed at the junction of the fibular and tibial veins. When it reaches the femur, it becomes the femoral vein. It runs along the same path as the popliteal artery.
Posterior tibial vein
The posterior tibial vein is accompanied by the posterior tibial artery. It is located in the lower limb. It drains blood from the plantar surface and posterior compartment of the foot to the popliteal vein.
Anterior tibial vein
The anterior tibial vein accompanies the anterior tibial artery. It is located in the lower limb. It carries blood from the anterior compartment of the leg to the popliteal.
