A lack of oxygen causes a portion of the brain to die, and paralysis or death can result. Typeically hemiplegia.

MI or myocardial infarction, occurs when a portion of the heart muscle dies due to a lack of oxygen. Preceded by narrowing of coronary arteries and reduced delivery of the blood to the myocardium.

Heart attack MI, the blood tests show proteins that belong in your heart muscle cells, and that's how we know the muscle is dead. The heart cells burst when they die, and release their contents into the blood.
