-Restore Rate; cardioversion


-of greater than 48 hrs may anticoagulant w/hep and obtain echo prior to restoring rhythm


-Meds: ibutilide, calcium channel blocker, beta blocker


-if unable to convert; calcium channel blocker, digoxin, and coumadin

A-flutter treatment

same as a-fib

V-fib treatment



Begin CPR until defibrillater arrives, defibrillate, slam epi then vasopressin, amiodarone, lidocaine

V-tach treatment

pulse: cardioversion then amiodarone


no pulse: same as v-fib
