Airworthiness Directive - a directive issued by the FAA under Part 39 of the FARs which is mandotory in nature and must be complied with by all operators of the affected aircraft, engine, propeller or appliance

AD/SB Mod. Report
|
A CAMP report that monitors AD's, SB's (service bulletins), and modifications as an alternative to adding codes to the RMS (recommended maintenance schedule) because of the high volumes of items to be tracked

Anastat
|
A report which lists all parameters on the Operator Profile as well as APU (Auxiliary Power Units) type. This is mostly concerning the changing of requirements due to a modification to an aircraft.

Andromeda
|
A "stand alone" product line offered by CAMP consisting of Maintenance Management (MM), Iventory Control (IC) and Flight Scheduling (FS) applications. We license our software to subscribing customers and they in turn monitor all their maintenance, inventory and/pr scheduling data themselves. We do, however, also advise these customers of changes to the programs via "revision services" and other end-user support functions.

AviSource
|
An integrated, modular, internet accessible, web-enabled, suite of aviation management tools comprising aircraft Maintenance Management, Inventory and Flight Scheduling programs and services. AviSource is a replacement for CAMP SP and the Adromeda product line and is currently being released for regular use.

APU
|
Auxiliary Power Unit - An aircraft accessory used to generate power for airborne systems (electronics, hydraulics, air conditioning, main engine starting, ect.

ATA
|
Air Transport Association - An organization of the US Airlines which promotes safety by coordination industry and government safety programs, and serves as a focal point for industry effords to standardize practices, and enhance the efficiency of the air transport system.

Chapter 5
|
The chapter of the Aircraft Maintenance Manuel issued by an aircraft manufacturer which defines the maintenance to be done on an aircraft and the frequency with which to do it.

Code Number
|
A six digit tracking number used to annotate all controlled items CAMP maintenance systems. It is important to note that the first two digits always equate to the corresponding ATA Chapter Number.

DEV
|
A "dummy aircraft" used primarily by Procedural Data analysts to implement and revise Work Compliance Forms. Once the revision to a DEV aircraft has been proofed, it can released to actual aircraft of that type and model.

Due List
|
A report listing all maintenance tasks due within a given projection period. This report is segregated into four criteria:
1. Calender 2. Hours 3. Landings 4. Special Requirements |

|
Federal Aviation Adminitstration - The administration agency within the US Department of Transportation that is responsible for the safety and certification of aircraft and pilots, for the securty of our airports, and for the around the clock operation of our nations's air traffic control systems. The FAA is also the regulatory agency which issues the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR's) under which aircraft of US registry must be maintained

FBO
|
Fixed Base Operator - A business with a fixed base of operations, usually at an airport, usually providing flight training, charter flights, maintenance and overhaul facilities and, sometimes, thrid level or commuter airline.

IPC
|
Illustrated Parts Catelogue - A catalogue distributed by an aircraft manufacturer which lists components by part number and effectively gives a graphic image of each component

OEM
|
Original Equipment Manufacturer - The originial manufacturer of the airframe, accessory APU, component or engine.

RMS
|
Recommended Maintenance Schedule - A listing of all components, services, inspections, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins applicalble to a specific aircraft type and model, as well as their respective minimum requirements. This is also referred to as the Template.

Service Bulletin
|
A post production product improvement issued by the manufacturer of an aircraft or appliance intended to improve the safety and reliability of the aircraft

WCF
|
Work Compliance Form - A form created by the Prodedural Data Group that includeds code, signoff, text, and images. It is used by a CAMP customer to perform required maintenance and report its accomplishment to CAMP for updating of the aircraft's records. WCF's are now often to reffered to as Task Cards.
