What is the definition for a limit (when solving for an undefined point)

The limit of a function of f(x) is the value the function gets closer to as x approaches the designated value

The limit of a function...

What is my definition for the "as h tends to zero" use of limit

Another use for finding limits it's finding the expression for the gradient of the curve/function. When h tends to zero there is no distance between f(x+h) and f(x) so the gradient is accurately calculated using gradient formula.

Another use for limits..

At what time/event does a limit not exist?

When the values as x approaches a variable is not the same
