Eczematous Dermatitis

pruritic. chemical (contact), atopy. Type 4 hypersensitivity. Acute: spongiosis + vesicles. Subacute. Chronic: acanthosis, hyperkeratosis, lichenification.

Purirtic vesicles. Extensor surf. Microabscesses w/ PMN, eos at tips of dermal papillae. IgA at tips (vs. BM). A/w gluten-sensitive enteropathy. Responds to gluten-free diet.

Most common malig skin tumor. Pearly papule w/ overlying telangiectastia. Locally invasive, rare met. Sunlight. Upper part of face (vs SCC). Histo: dark basaloid cells w/ palisade arr of nuc.

Malignant melanoma
|
Melanocytes or nevus cells. Sunlight. Radial (no met, in epi + papillary dermis) => vertical growth (reticular dermis, etc).

Lentigo maligna melanoma

Superficial spreading melanoma
|
Most common melanoma. Irreg border, variegated pigmentation.

Nodular melanoma
