Integumentary System
The outer protective layer of the body. Protects the body from dehydration, microorganisms, abrasion, and radiation, as well as serving sensory and metabolic functions.
Skeletal System
Comprises the bones and cartilage of the body, provides rigidity to the body and support for soft internal organs, as well as attachments for skeletal muscles, reservoirs for calcium and fat storage, and a site for blood cell production.
Nervous System
Processes information about the environment and the body's interior, and initiates movement of the lies or changes in the body. it comprises the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and ganglia.
Lymphatic System
Comprises a series of delicate channels which drain tissue fluid through lymph nodes. It contains lymphocytes and macrophages to sweep up foreign proteins, microbes, and cancer cells.
Muscular System
Brings about body movement, both voluntary and involuntary. The fibers attach either directly to a bone, or to a tendon that is fixed to a bone.

Circulatory System

Consists of the heart to pump blood, and the arteries, arterioles, capillaries, venules, and veins to carry blood.

Digestive System
Concerned with the ingestion, digestion, and absorption of food and water, and the excretion of residual waste, the digestive system extends from the mouth to the anus and has associated glands (salivary, exocrine pancreas, and liver.)
Respiratory System
Comprising the nose, larynx, airways, and lungs, this system is primarily concerned with bringing in air into the body for exchange between the air sacs and blood.
Urinary System
The kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, and urethra make up this system, which is primarily concerned with the excretion of nitrogenous waste (urea) in urine, but it is also important for pH control and ionic concentrations in blood.
Endocrine System
This system is made up of a series of glands which maintain homeostasis. It includes the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, and endocrine pancreas glands.
Reproductive System
The male and female systems are concerned with the production and nurturing of the next generation. They include the gonads, which produce sex cells, as well as associated glands, erectile tissue, the uterus, and breasts.
