Individuals who represent the end user (receptionists, technicians, etc). Need all of their information.
What is the "Ultimate question"?
The question that is really being asked (either directly or indirectly). Categorize to help with search strategy.
How are resources chosen for the search strategy?
Choose resources based on probability of finding the correct information (do not choose based on ease of use).
What should be included in your final response?
Present conflicting sides of literature (if applicable); be comprehensive and succint; fit response to the requester; deliver on time and be able to answer questions.
What is follow-up?
Process of verifying appropriateness, correctness, and completeness of repsonse (Was it actually used?)
What is follow-through?
Providing new therapeutic or patient information as it becomes available.
What is the purpose of documentation?
Reduce liability; keep track of ultimate question, materials given, and evidence of follow-up/follow-through.
