What is the function of the mitochondria? |
Mitochondria is the site of cellular respiration used for the production of ATP from glucose to provide energy for the cell. |

What is the difference between osmosis and diffusion? |
Osmosis and diffusion are both the movement of substance over a concentration gradient. However, Osmosis only involves the movement of water and needs a semi permeable membrane, as apposed to diffusion which can involve and molecule and does not need a semi permeable membrane. |

What is the difference between rough ER and smooth ER? What do they produce? |
Rough ER contains ribosomes, whereas as smooth ER does not. Rough ER is involved with the transport and production of protein and smooth ER is involved with the production and storage of fatty acids such as lipids. They synthesis lipids and proteins. |

It means water attracting and is the head of phospholipids. |
