Living things are made of cells, have a metabolism, grow, adapt, respond to stimuli, and reproduce
Clearly and concisely state a problem derived from a set of observations
Example: In the beginning of the year, we did the experiment where everyone tried to knock the eraser over with their nose. The problem would be why do some people knock over the eraser while others don't?
Construct hypotheses appropriate to a particular problem
All possible hypotheses that have been made by people who are interested in the subject, plus hypotheses that logically explain the phenomenon
Design, carry out, and evaluate a controlled experiment to test a hypothesis
This is kinda self explanatory-just make sure that you have two groups, the control group and the independent group. The two groups are different
Explain why the statement "Science has proven..." is misleading
You can't technically prove something, since you would have to disprove all other possible hypotheses, which are infinite. However you can prove it using all reasonable hypotheses.

Domain (s), Kingdom (s), Phylum (Phyla), Class (es), Order (s), Family (ies), Genus (genera), Species (same)--Did King Philip Come Over For Good Soup
