Exposed in August 1998 when Kenneth Starr produces DNA evidence and Clinton is forced to admit. Republicans who dominated the House voted to impeach Clinton however, they did not reach a 2/3 majority.
What were the consequences of the scandal?
Clinton's approval remains above 60%. Press accused of 'lowest public esteem of any job'. Republicans lost 5 seats, being accused of being partisan and uncooperative, Gingrich had to resign after it was revolved he has been participating in extra martial affairs.
