Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Who is God?
Before anything else existed God was there. He is holy, perfect and pure. He's the creator of everything
Who am I?
Every person was created in God's image, so we "reflect" God.We have some of the same attributes as God, like the ability to love.God mad us so that we could know Him.
What's the problem?
We were born sinners. God wants the best for us, but we don't want to follow His guidelines. We want sin. God hates sin. Our punishment is to spend an eternity in Hell separated from God if we don't accept God's solution to the problem
What's the solution?
God loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus. Jesus never sinned, but died on the cross willingly to take our punishment. On the 3rd day after He died and was buried, He rose from the dead. He conquered death.
What's next?
If we trust that paid for our sin on the cross and rose again, we'll receive God's gift of salvation. We'll be saved. And we'll spend eternity in heaven with God.
We're forgiven
Once we trust Jesus to pay the penalty of our sin, we're forgiven. We can't lose the salvation He's given us.
