what is the numerator?

what is a rate?

a relationship between things or one number too another, it is also a rate or proportion, usually a fraction
what is a proportion?
a relationship of one portion to another both numerator must be shown ie: class of 30, 12 boys, 18 girls- should NOT be 12/18, but 12/30 boys, 18/30 girls.
what is averaging?
a mean, to distinguish it from a median and mode. Add all numbers and divide it by the number of scores (N)
how do you round data?
to get a useable number, you go one more decimal place than the number calls for, usually 2-3 decimal places.
If last digit is 5 or more, round up to next digit, 4 or less, round down.
