Haydn: Symphony No. 104

- Starts VERY LOUD and then goes very soft in the beginning. It alternates between loud and soft before the melody starts.

- The melody starts with a single note played four times. This is repeated.

- When the music changes to another melody, you will hear a “BRIDGE PASSAGE”

- A Bridge Passage is a pause when the music changes from one melody to another

- You will hear a CODA at the end. A bunch of crashing notes that make it sound “Triumphant” at the end.

- Coda is sometimes called a “tail” because it is just a few notes at the end of a piece of music
