What is conservation?

The management of the Earth's natural resources in such a way that maximum use of them can be made in the future. This involves active intervention by humans to maintain ECOSYSTEMS and BIODIVERSITY.

Ethical - respect for living things
Economic - Living organisms have the capacity to make millions of substances which may prove valuable in the future. Cultural and aesthetic - inspirational to writers, poets, artists, and myself :) |

Regarding succession, what is one way of conserving habitats?
|
As succession progresses, a habitat may disappear, resulting in loss of the species. To prevent this, succession may be managed to prevent change to the next stage.

|
When the factor preventing succession (caused by humans) is removed.
