Describe propanolol (action, SEs)
Nonselective B blocker, b1=b2. Effective for SVT, thyrotoxicosis, pheo. SEs: Bradycardia, bronchoconstriction, heart block, CHF. Synergistic w/ Ca++ blockers

B1 blocker [less likely to causes adverse effects w/ COPD, PVD, hypoglycemia]. Selectivity is dose-related, at high doses is nonselective
