1st Amendment

2nd Amendment
|
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.

3rd Amendment
|
During peace, soldiers cannot use private homes without the owner's consent; during war they can only do so in a manner prescribed by law.

|
1. People have a right to secure their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.

1. Right to a speedy and public trial by an impartial jury, in the state/district where the crime was committed 2. Right to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation 3. Right to be confronted with witnesses against him and to put worth witnesses for him 4. Right to defense counsel |

7th Amendment
|
1. When value in controversy exceeds $20, the right to a jury trial shall be preserved.
2. No fact tried by a jury shall be re-examined in any court other than according to rules of common law. |

Representatives are apportioned based on population excluding untaxed Indians.

A person who has taken an oath to support the US and then betrayed the oath cannot serve in the military or hold office unless 2/3 of Congress votes to allow him to.

1. If Pres. dies, is removed from office, or resigns, VP takes over
2. If there is no VP, Pres nominates a VP and both houses of Congress must confirm by a majority vote 3. If Pres. submits statement in writing that he cannot serve, VP takes over until Pres. submits statement that he can serve again 4. If VP and other required by law submit statement that Pres. cannot fulfill duties, VP takes over. If Pres. submits statement that he can he takes over again, unless VP & others say he can't, and then Congress must decide. |

26th Amendment

Citizens who are 18 or older have the right to vote.

No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Reps, shall take effect, until an election of representatives shall have intervened.
