Adlers Early Life
Born in Italy, very sickly child, 5 siblings, very brittle bones (rickets) Age 5 got pneumonia and almost died. Overheard doctor tell father it was a waste to treat the boy. His turning pt. Moved to country got stronger and became healthy man.

Theory
Believed inferiority feelings are not genetically predisposed. All of motivation that we have is to strive to succeed and overcome inferiorities. Overcompensate. Inability to compensate for inferiorities
