ASD, Pulmonic stenosis/insufficiency, RBBB, Severe mitral insufficiency, Pulmonary HTN, VSD.
What is the cause of S3 (gallup)?
Resistance to ventricular filling, low pitched, best heard @ apex in L lateral decubitus.
What is the cause of a S4 (Atrial gallup)?
Stiff walls, MI, Pulmonary HTN, Heart failure, Hyperthyroidism, R or L side.
