ABG normal value of pH?
7.35 - 7.45
What does a high and low pH indicate?
<7.35 = Acidity

>7.45 = Alkaline
ABG normal value of PaCo2?
35 - 45 mmHg

It help indicate whether an acidosis or alkalosis is respiratory of metabolic. If the O2 is decreased it indicates a respiratory cause.

It is a screening tool.
Not very reliable, used to prevent oxygenation problems.
