Color Wheel

A circular tool that shows the relationships of colors to each other. Please draw and label a color wheel.

Primary Colors

Colors from wich all other colors are made. Cannot be mixed from other colors. Red, Yellow, Blue.

Secondary Colors

Colors made from mixing equal parts of a primary and secondary color. Orange, Green, Violet/Purple

Intermediate Colors

The colors in between the primary and secondary colors on the color wheel. Examples: Blue-Green, Yellow-Green, Red-Orange, Yellow-Orange, Red-Violet, Blue-Violet

Warm Colors

Colors that remind you of fire oranges, yellows, and reds. Show warm colors.

Cool Colors

Colors that remind you of cold things blues, greens, and violets/purples. Show cool colors.

Complimentary Colors
