Diameter
A line segment that passes through the center of a circle with it’s endpoints on the circle. It tells how wide the circle is across.
Radius
A length that is half the diameter of a circle. The distance from the center to the edge of a circle.
Circumference
The distance around a circle. A circle’s perimeter.
Factor
Any number being multiplied to find a product.
Greatest Common
Factor (GCF)
The largest single factor for 2 or more numbers. Think of the Factor Ninja!
Least Common Multiple
(LCM)
The smallest multiple that two or more numbers have in common. Think Monster Multiple!
Inverse Operation
Operations that do the exact opposite of each other. They undo each other.
Mean
The sum of a group of numbers divided by the number of numbers (average.)

A value found by ordering a group of numbers from least to greatest and choosing the middle one.

Breaking down a composite number until all the factors are prime.

An equation stating that two ratios are equal.

A ratio that shows the cost per unit of measure.
