Monitor

Collect product performance data with respect to a plan, produce performance measures, and report and disseminate performance information.

Control

Earned Value EV

The measure of work performed expressed in terms of the budget authorised for that work.

Schedule Forecasts (SV)

A measure of schedule performance expressed as the difference between the earned value and the planned value.

Cost Forecast CV

The amount of budget deficit or surplus at a given point in time, expressed as the difference between the earned value and actual cost.

Vairance

A quantifiable deviation, departure or divergence away from a known baseline or expected value.

Failure Mode & Effect Analysis FMEA

Analytical procedure of each potential failure of each component, individually or cumulatively, its effect on reliability & function; how it might occur; estimated impact; and a minimizing action plan. (Truncated version of PMI def)
