Personal foul in basketball

a personal foul is a breach of the rules that concerns illegal personal contact with an opponent.

Double dribble

In basketball a double dribble happens when a player dribbles the ball with two hands.

Occurs when a player holding the ball moves one or both of their feet illegally.

A free kick from the corner of the field that is given to the offense or attacking team when a defending soccer player is the last player to touch the ball before it crossed the end line.

Overhand pass

A pass executed with both hands open, controlled by the fingers and thumbs, played just above the forehead.

Batter

Offensive player in the batting box who will attempt to strike the ball.

Base

One of four points on the baseball diamond that players must run through to reach the home plate.

The ball is not swung at, but contacts the within the infield.

preparing for physical activity. Ex) a series of sport specific movements that are designed to prepare the muscles for performance and are performed in a safe and controlled fashion.
