Any violation of law, rule or regulation, whether committed within NYS or outside the state, for which one may be arrested for, but shall not include A's, B's (other than leaving the scene of an incident w/o reporting & DWAI) and C's that involves only a civil penalty |

If a MOS is arrested within the 5 boros, what must they do if the arrest is effected by an agency other than NYPD? |
Immediately let those cops know that they are arresting a cop who's with the NYPD Promptly notify the DO, precinct of arrest |

MOS who get a C for a criminal violation (inside or outside the 5 boros) must do this |
Immediately notify their CO and give them a copy of the summons |

The DO who is made aware that a MOS has been arrested within the 5 boros will notify these people IAB CO/Op |
IAB CO/Op Immediately notify CO/DC Immediately notify IAB,CC Promptly notify Operations Unit |

After the DO has made their notifications to the necessary people regarding a MOS being arrested within the 5 boros, they must record them here |
Make a Telephone Record entry and include identity of CO/DC notified |

If a MOS is arrested outside the 5 boros, what must they do?
|
Immediately let those cops know that they are arresting a cop who's with the NYPD
Immediately notify Operations Unit and tell them which agency arrested them Immediately notify their own CO |

Once the CO knows a MOS has been arrested, they will contact them within this time frame |
CO will contact arrested MOS within 24hrs of court appearance and ascertain status of case |

The supervisor @ Operations will immediately notify IAB, CC once they become aware of a MOS has been arrested outside the city, as well as that MOS's CO. Who else will they notify depending on where the arrest was made? |
If the arrest is made in Westchester, Rockland, Orange or Putnam, they'll notify CO, PBBX If arrest is made in Nassau or Suffolk, they'll notify CO, PBQN or CO, PBQS as appropriate If command is closed, they will notify MOS's CO @ 0900 hrs, next business day |

In all cases where a MOS has been arrested, they must make sure to let the CO know this |
Inform the CO of status of case at lease once every 30 days Notify CO ASAP if charges are dismissed |
