BOILING POINT

The boiling point of water is 100° Celsius.

CELSIUS

the scale of temperature in which water freezes at 0°C and boils at 100°C under standard conditions.

FREEZING POINT

the temperature at which a liquid turns into a solid when cooled. (WATER=0°C)

MELTING POINT

the temperature at which a given solid will melt. (WATER=0°C)

TEMPERATURE

Energy is the capacity of a physical system to perform work. Energy exists in several forms such as heat, kinetic or mechanical energy, light, potential energy, electrical, or other forms. Energy can be changed from one form to another.

HOMOGENEOUS

a mixture is one that is uniform, and where the different components of the mixture cannot be seen

MAGNETISM

is a force of attraction or repulsion between materials that acts at a distance (through a magnetic field), and is ultimately due to the movement of electrons. Some objects are inherently magnetic, the most common example being iron magnets.
