What is CSS

Cascading Style Sheets

Used to apply formatting to webpages.

Changes made can be applied to multiple pages as well.

What is compression

Compression means reducing the amount of disk space a file takes up. Files sent over the internet need to be reduced in size.

Lossy Compression

Some information in the file is lost in the connection. This is usually not noticed to the user. EG higher frequency sounds that humans cannot hear. Has no impact to the quality of the file.

lossless compression

No information lost. Compression ratios are lower. Useful for sending documents with text where information cannot be lost.
