Plastic doesn't biodegrade like food


scraps. It instead photodegrades which


means to breakdown from sunlight.


It breaks down into smaller and smaller


pieces, but never really goes away.


Plastic particles, microplastics and


chemicals from plastics will be here


for hundreds of years or more.
