In most individual's eyes, perfection, is an obtainable characteristic. The reality of the word, “perfection,” isn’t a realistic term. Do not think of the word as an actual goal to set for yourself under any means. It’s more of an idea than a state of achievement. Let’s say that someone disagrees with the argument. Maybe they think that perfection is a realistic goal and it’s something individuals should incorporate in their life. Although this may be a strong, opposing thought, it is false in every way. Rebecca puts forth the idea that, “unhappiness is a propellant; disappointment and dismay prompt us to work for a better… [situation]” (Traister). If you ponder upon this subject, you’ll realize that nothing has ever been or will be perfect in this world. Perfection isn’t what should drive people to be better in their eyes. Every single thing that might seem perfect, has some sort of flaw to it. Maybe something could seem perfect to one person but be completely imperfect to another. This is exactly why the term should not be used to measure anything. The standards are too high and cause many more problems than it does
